Regional Outreach Conference (ROC) Pheasant Run St. Charles, IL
September 9, 2011
A. Call to Order: Meeting was called to order by President David Martin at 8:15 pm.
B. Opening Devotion: Rev. J. Leider – Remember Sept. 11. 2001. Many proclaimed they were going back to church, but what about now? The world is changing – we need to share/minister to/reach out to all. Great need.
C: Members In Attendance: M. Ramel, E. Beino (Mary Ann), J. Leider, R. Harms (Ione), E. Martin, D. Martin, P. Kraase, G. Kreienbrink (Marjorie),G. Campbell, E. Wornardt, NWD: C. Tismor, N. Mueller (Marilyn)
D. Minutes of 70th Ann. SWD Conf: Motion made and Seconded to approve minutes as distributed. Carried.
E. Treasurer’s Report: Cash available: $14,374.75. Total Expenditures: $7161.58. Operating fund balance: $7213.17. Available rebates: $5821.52. Motion made and Seconded to file for review. Carried. Rebates will be changed to a grant system. If these rebates are needed, they need to be requested ASAP. One night lodging and registration will be reimbursed for ROC.
F. President’s Report: Message read from President Mick Omen – thanking attendees to the ROC. Mysterious LCEF money explained as stated in Aug. 6 minutes. Men’s Network: Fatherhood. Working on another new one-available in 6 wks. Letter received from Fred Kurth requesting resignation as Milw. Zone interim president. LuWiSoMo is waiting to have a quarum to have a meeting (Dec.) $100,000 raised to open camp for next yr. Looking for a director – can’t finalized until they have a mtg.
G. Elections: Motion made and seconded to close nominations for Vice President. Carried. Motion made and seconded to extend the treasurer’s term for an additional 2 yrs. Carried. Motion made and seconded to close nominations for treasurer. Carried. Motion made and seconded to cast a unanimous ballot for Rev. John Leider as Vice President and Mark Ramel as treasurer. Carried.
H. Bruce Werdeman/Rich Cohrs: Voting Process (Pres/VP): will not be done at the Int’l Conv. Ballots will be sent in the mail to those members who have donated in the last 18 months. Will come out in Spring (March/April).Sent back by June 12. 450 Men’s Network groups in the US. New Proj Con booklet.
I. Regional Governor’s Report: Men’s Network program, April 24. Working on Hispanic Ministry with Dan McMiller (mission director for SWD).Five14 program Oct. 1 (9:00-4:30) Rothschild. Free event. Aug. 1: Bd. Of Governors will dispense. Bd. of Dir. will lead. By-laws passed. Ambassador prog. will be overhauled.
L. Announcements: North Wisconsin District LLL Convention: Oct. 15-16
