St. Louis, MO, Mar. 2, 2012 - The International Lutheran Laymen's League (Int'l LLL), the governing body for St. Louis-based Lutheran Hour Ministries, has announced the slate of candidates for the 2012 election of its new Board of Directors. IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Grace and peace to you in the Name of Jesus, today and always.
As you know, the Int'l LLL will be conducting its first mail election beginning the end of this week. In preparation for this important event, I urge you to help spread the word through your e-mail contact list about the importance of everyone's participation in this election. Below find a short note that you can use if you wish, to encourage your contacts to be part of this process. Thanks for all you do to support the Ministries and God bless!
IMPORTANT NOTICE: In the past, only those who attended the International LLL's annual convention were entitled to vote for Int'l LLL officers, board members and by-laws matters. But with the reorganization of the League's governance structure, that has all changed. The first ever International LLL membership election begins on April 20th and if you have made a donation to Lutheran Hour Ministries in the past 18 months, you now have a voice in these very important matters. Later this week, you will receive information in the mail describing the qualifications of the slate of officers and board members, a desciption of the proposed by-law changes, a ballot form and instructions for casting your vote before the ballot deadline of May 30th.
PLEASE VOTE. The election is a critical part of the new structure of the League. Each ballot is very important. As a matter of fact, in order for the election to be legal according to Missouri law, at least 10% of all members must cast ballots.
ALSO, SAVE MINISTRY DOLLARS BY VOTING ON LINE. If you don't have Internet access, by all means please vote by mail. But if you do have Internet access, please go on line, follow the simple instructions which will be provided and cast your ballot. Each ballot cast by Internet will save postage which in turn can be used to further the Lord's work through Lutheran Hour Ministries.
DON'T DELAY - Spread the word about this important opportunity to exercise your member rights, and vote soon to assure your vote is counted. Thank you so much for your participation. May God direct us all in this important process.
Mick Onnen, President
